His Will or Yours?

God’s ways are not our ways. When we pray/intercede within our own thoughts and sympathies as the rightful focus, we often miss God’s aim. We must instead be focused on vicarious intercession to remove ourselves from the subject and pray God’s purpose is completed to produce His outcome. This may not produce the outcome you thought was best but His ways are so much higher than ours and will always steer us down the pathways of His will.
His will vs. ours is the biggest point of contention between the creator (Him) and the creation (Us). It sounds humorous to say it out loud, it’s the quasi child vs. parent dilemma. Of course, we parents look at this as a child rebelliously attempting to subjugate our authority in order to gain what they want. Many times, the child is unable to see the reason behind such an unfair, fun-sucking parent trying to protect the child from harm or adverse consequence. Our relationship with God is much the same.
We do not have the capacity to think as God thinks, His mind is not ours. He is the creator of all things, thus, the authority in all things. When we pray or intercede on behalf of something or someone, we must maintain advocacy with God and resist our own selfish desires. Our focus must be that His will be done, then understand regardless of the outcome, His understanding is much deeper than ours; He is God.
We may be disappointed or even crushed by the outcome, just as a child is when the parent denies their plight, but we must remember that God loves us with an even deeper, purer love than we have for own children. Never waste your time being angry toward Him, or anyone else for that matter, just know that He is God and He always has the perfect destination in mind.
