Overcome the Daily Grind

We all have to deal with the daily hustle and bustle of life and it can be overwhelming at times. The day gets away from us as our activities are blown and tossed with every wind of adversity, every whim of the boss or the daily issue(s) that inevitably come up and knock us off course. The frustration, stress and inconvenience of such things, at best irritate, at worst take our mind and spirit down a negative path.
This is the goal of the enemy of your soul because it turns your priorities upside down. The order of priority for every man is 1.) God, 2.) spouse, 3.) children, 4.) provision. When provision (daily grind) consumes your mind and spirit, your priorities become 1.) provision, 2.) spouse/children, 3.) God.... God may even be further down the line as His Spirit is contrary to what the enemy continually creates in our lives.
The key to a fulfilled life is to always be mindful of putting God first in all things... what does this mean and how is it done? It means that the importance of starting your day off with Him sets the tone for your day. As the challenges of the day arise, you talk to Him first; bring Him to the center of your daily life. Resist going straight to the negative self-talk that takes you down the wrong path; simply ask God to walk through the situation with you and accept His direction. This will keep you on the right path and you will be shocked at how much more peace you have.
Remember, NOTHING is ever as bad as it first appears. Think about it..... think back to every time you've blown your top or over-reacted to a situation.... when you reflect, the vast majority of the time you wish you would have reacted differently, more calmly and with more emotional intelligence.
When you maintain your priorities, you will find that self-reflection becomes much more satisfying and the consequences much more favorable.
