Psyops

I spent several hours reading Psychological Operations (Psyops) Principles and Case Studies edited by Col. Frank Goldstein and Col. Benjamin Findley and written by many prominent military Psyop experts specifically for the defense department. I have read several ‘articles’ on Psyops, however, the most credible source out there is the actual case studies and trainers of Psyops personnel…. every tactic is there.

And the sane people ask, “John, why are you reading that stuff?”, my answer, because I’m increasingly concerned about the things that Americans are buying into that are from seemingly ‘credible people’.

I cannot begin to put all the information here but I’ll summarize to try and spawn enough interest or thought to get folks to question the underlying motives of the ‘credible people’. We must educate ourselves or else you will become further manipulated by this very real threat to our society and freedoms.

Psychological operations have been a part of military strategy since armies first took the field of battle. There are 3 types of Psyops: ‘Overt or White propaganda’, which can be true or false because the source takes direct responsibility for it; ‘Gray propaganda’ is material that is distributed without an identified source that can be true or false; ‘Black propaganda’, which is produced by one source that purports to have emanated from another unnamed source, sound familiar? Black propaganda may be used to damage the credibility of a white (truthful) source by disseminating obvious falsehoods under the label of the previously trusted source. Black propaganda, if effective at all, quickly loses effectiveness unless the populace is particularly susceptible to rumors, manipulation, and distortion of fact. Nevertheless, black propaganda can be highly effective if properly planned.

Excerpt from the article: PSYOP has been integrated with combat operations. In the Falklands, Afghanistan, Africa, South and Central America, Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf, PSYOP was included by all parties. PSYOP even became a critical part of the terrorist mode of operations during the seventies and were part of the Iraqi PSYOP plan when they threatened terrorist activities. Any student of PSYOP will quickly learn how important PSYOP can be in political and military strategy. What every student should strive for is an internalization of the concept proposed by Sun Tzu, the Chinese military strategist, that to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without resorting to fighting. Because soldiers and civilians have not fundamentally changed in nature or psychology since Sun Tzu wrote these observations, they remain appropriate today.

Instilling fear inhibits rational thinking and vastly enhances the effectiveness of their propaganda and disinformation. Repetition is also necessary, which is what you see from the mainstream media today; every station repeats the same talking points over and over to ‘train’ the populace…. this is dangerous stuff folks!

Psychological actions such as show of force, cover, and deception have been used throughout history to influence enemy groups and leaders and destabilize the forces resolve.

The job of a Psyops Practitioner, and yes, there is an actual MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) for Psyops, is to become a ‘friend’ to the enemy, convince them they’re on their side and tell them what they want to hear. Once the credibility is established, the manipulation for the deeper cause is set in motion. This could be to quell the resistance, deceive them into making foolish moves to achieve dominance and/or put them in a bad light by brainwashing them into compliance.

Much of what I’m seeing today is retired military, CIA, etc. ‘credible people’ laying out deceptive narratives that are outright lies. They are extremely good at putting together the narrative, using videos/pictures to support their story, passionately telling the stories and changing the narrative to fit the latest scenario. The lies have a base in a truth, which is used to ‘structure’ the narrative. They use this narrative that aligns with what people desire to hear and see come to pass, however, they’re dealing with highly trained Psyops practitioners. Why would they do this, what is the goal? You must ask yourself, what would be the best way to discredit a group of people? Maybe feed them lies, get them to believe it, repeat it over and over, get them to repeat it, and all the while making a case to strip their freedom of speech because they’re ‘crazy’ or ‘conspiracy theorist’. Maybe radicalize them to perform nefarious things that would ultimately make a case for 2nd Amendment modifications, suspension or removal. At the very least, they eventually wear-down their followers to a point where they give up and lose their resolve to continue the fight….. they become defeated and just desire to move on with life. This is straight out of the playbook folks and I encourage you to read it yourself. It’s 373 pages of pure strategy that will blow your mind in the first 50 pages!

Propaganda and disinformation that seek to cause people to trade freedom for lies is a most insidious and dangerous threat! Our freedom is far too precious a thing to be defended by haphazard efforts. Educate yourself, be suspicious of ‘credible people’, stop working for the enemy! Pray, seek wisdom and discernment against the enemy, he is truly seeking to steal, kill and destroy!
